Some of the best village ramparts in France
We spent most of the day at Caravan and Motorhome Solutions at Chard. They were very busy and were fitting us in when they had a chance. Eventually Sandy came and took a look at our leaky manifolds. The hot water manifold had already been sealed up with silicone but the cold water one on the right was spraying water from a crack at the end. Sandy depressured the system and left it to dry and then came back and applied some solvent to try and get the plastic to seal up. After several attempts he managed to get the flow to the tiniest weep and we felt this would be enough to allow us to continue our trip. However we called Appleton Engineering in Leiston where we planned to have Bertie’s MOT and service next month and bookied Bertie in for some attention and to have bothe manifolds replaced.
We left Chard about 4pm and headed east across Dorest to Wareham where there is a Britstop at what used to be the Railway Hotel but is now Monsoon Indian Restaurant. The parking was small and tight but we were snug in the corner. Despite the railway line nearby it was a quiet night and the takeout dinner we had was really good.
